Fahrenheit 451: Reading and Making Questions

Our class will explore the novel Fahrenheit 451 through reading circles. This exercise will give you an opportunity to focus on different roles as you read. The five roles that you will explore are “discussion director,” “literary luminary,” “summarizer,” “vocabulary enricher,” and “character analyzer.” You should have AT LEAST 1 full page [double-space] of typed content for each role. Discussion Director: Your job is to develop 5 discussion (not yes/no) questions that your group might want to discuss about the assigned reading. Your task is to help people talk over the big ideas in each section and share their reactions. Also write your own answers to the questions. Each answer should be a short paragraph or so.
